This house is beautiful inside and out. Lovely entry and living space, beautiful sunlight dining room with wonderful breezes. Three great bedrooms, two larger one with new spacious bathrooms. One a little smaller, with a small bathroom. The kitchen has everything you need. A few steps away is a living room with lovely views and breezes. Also a covered outdoor dining area for meals with a view. Many outdoor sitting area for sun or shade. A pool area with lounges, table and chairs and views to die for. Highly recommend this villa for 2-3 couples ! Better than the pictures show. Lots of custom features and artwork. The property management company is very helpful. Thank you for sharing your home!
My family of six had a wonderful week staying at Kia Ora! We’d been there once before, a few years ago, and it was as we remembered. My in-laws slept in the lower bedroom and my kids shared the second bedroom on the main floor. We used the grill the nights we stayed in, swam in the pool for hours each day, relaxed in the hammock, appreciated having convenient laundry, and loved the location! We shared the outdoor space with lots of creatures we don’t get to see at home, but the screens kept most of the bugs from coming inside. The place is well maintained, comfortable, and had most of what we needed for our nine day stay. We hope to return again in the near future!
What a lovely, well-designed home. We spent an idyllic week here with three teens. The layout of this home with its surrounding gardens and multiple patio/outdoor seating areas is perfect for 2 or 3 couples or families with teens (not good for younger kids due to danger of falling from the porch and pool). The view is the most incredible I have ever seen. LOVE the outdoor built in couch and spent many hours relaxing and there enjoying the panoramic view, banaquits and other birds, and resident iguanas (harmless). The owners and property managers are kind enough to leave generous supplies of convenience and necessity items (condiments, pancake syrup, spices, shampoos, razors, insect repellent, etc. –and even liquor!) that make it easy for guests to get down to the business of enjoying this amazing island. Most appreciated was all the snorkeling equipment, beach chairs, and coolers. We visited many beaches for amazing snorkeling–Cinnamon Bay was my favorite; a beautiful, wide beach, not too crowded, food and facilities, and if you walk to the right as facing the ocean, a great area to snorkel. Thanks for sharing this lovely home! Kids already asking when we can return.
Many thanks to Mary Ellen for her friendly introduction to this wonderful home. Everything is so cared for, and one of the cleanest and best provisioned house I have ever stayed in. We loved everything about the house. We spent a lot of time enjoying the outdoor spaces and the pool. I am a bug magnet and this was the first visit I could sit outside in the evening. I loved everything about this house!
Our family recently returned from another wonderful stay at Kia Ora! Everything is lovingly maintained and just as perfect as the year before. The view is spectacular and the layout of Kia Ora takes advantage of the water, sunsets and twinkling lights of St Thomas. We like being close to Cruz Bay, and yet feel so far removed from it all. The pool was great (we brought blow-up loungers and thought that was the best idea any of us ever had – other than staying here) and we were visited by the resident iguanas who just liked to swing in the trees and watch. This is a great layout, as everyone has their own space and yet we’re not far away. We so appreciated the rolling coolers and backpack beach chairs (especially when I made everyone “hike” to the beach near Waterlemon Cay so I could snorkel – and it was worth it!). It was unusually rainy (so we were told) and the covered sitting area allowed us to be outside and yet away from the elements. There are plenty of towels, showers are fabulous and bedding comfortable. Kia Ora definitely has a “home” feel, and not at all a like sterile rental property. I keep tacking on a night each time (up to 9 in 2018!) 🙂
My husband and I celebrated our 20th anniversary in St. John, taking along our two kiddos and Matt’s parents, who were celebrating their 50th. Kia Ora did not disappoint! The location is fantastic.. close to Cruz Bay for convenience but far enough to allow relaxation and a feeling of having it all to ourselves. The bedrooms and layout provided a place for everyone to get away whenever we needed some space. We tended to gather on the deck in the mornings and evenings to watch the cruise ships come in and go, and to marvel at the million dollar views. The beds were comfy, and the villa had everything we needed including snorkeling gear, towels, games and books. We choose the perfect villa for our family and celebration, and would definitely come back.
